Twin Lakes is a spring fed lake that is usually between 73-75 F. Wet suits will be legal as long as the water temp is below 78 F and can be rented at Sports Systems on a first come first served basis.

Early bird Registration ends March 10, 2018 at 11:59 pm, MST.
All participants must be a USAT Member or pay the USAT $15.00 one-day license fee (Junior $10), or $50 for an annual adult license.
On-line Registration closes at 11:00 p.m. MST on June 4, 2018. Late registrations must be hand-delivered to FIT FUNdamentals (FIT FUN re-locates to Santa Rosa on June 7th).

OR on Friday, June 8, 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Blue Hole Convention Center, in Santa Rosa, NM
OR on race day from 6:00 – 7:00 a.m. at race site.
**PLEASE NOTE: You can NOT pick up participant packets for other participants or team members. EACH participant must be present to pick up their own packet. You will be REQUIRED to present identification AND your USAT annual license for verification. Please bring these with you at the time of pickup! There are NO EXCEPTIONS!

SWIM: 750 m Sprint – 1500 m Olympic (2 laps)
BIKE: 20k (12.5 mi) Sprint – 40k Olympic (2 laps)
RUN: 5k (3.1 mi) Sprint – 10k (6.2 mi) Olympic
SPRINT AND OLYMPIC COURSE DESCRIPTIONS:
Swim: 750 meter loop, swim one or two times – in Twin Lake – diamond shape course, counter clockwise swim. Swim Map Here
Bike: 20 K (12.5 miles) out and back course – one time for sprint race, two laps for Olympic race, on incredibly scenic and slightly hilly terrain. Course is on newly paved roads that generally have very light traffic. There will be volunteer support along the route, but there are no major intersections. There will be one aid station on the bike course at the turn around point and there will be a sag wagon on the course.

Run: 5 K (3.1 miles) – both on and off road, including a strecth of road on which runners will pass 3 times, so it is extremely spectator friendly. There will be one aid station that runners will pass 3 times. The Olympic course adds and extra loop into town.

This is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event, and all USAT rules and regulations apply. For a complete list of the rules go to www.usatriathlon.org You must be a USAT Member OR pay the $15 (per person) one-day membership fee to participate in this race. ($10.00 for Juniors 17 and under, and it is good for a whole year).

In the case of inclement weather or other concerns for participant safety on the course, the race may be postponed or modified. This could include shortening the race, postponing the start, or eliminating one leg of the race. In these instance the Race Directors will do everything in their power to make the race as close to the original distances and times. A race that is modified does not qualify as a cancellation, please see the cancellation policy below.
FIT FUNdamentals REFUND POLICY:
REFUNDS are not given for a FIT FUNdamentals event. If you register and do not attend the event for any reason, your race fee is forfeited. This includes illness, injury, inclement weather or any Act of God.
Race TRANSFERS from one athlete to another are only allowed if the race is sold out, and must be approved by the race director at least one week in advance of the race date. All required new athlete information must be received by the Race Director at least one week in advance.
If the race is CANCELLED by the Promoter for any reason, those who were registered will get a free transfer to the next year’s race.
